As we know, where there’s a Genting there’s a Grosvenor and that rule is true in Bournemouth also. The Grosvenor is located a little closer to sea front on Westover Road and once inside most of the action takes place in one large gaming room.

Table games such as Roulette, Blackjack, Brag and Dice occupy the centre of this room while the slots are dotted around the outside. Poker is a big part of this casino and there are regular tournaments. The usual IGT, WMS Gaming and Novomatic games are on show including some multigame cabinets to offer a wider choice of games. We frequently run handicap racing, this gives everybody a chance of winning - its usually the up and coming driver who can improve his scores rather than the established expert who wins the nights handicap racing. As well as club racing, we support National and regional racing

We have run regular racing for Scalextric/ Ninco / Fly cars - but this is not currently active due to lack of competitors. We are keen to get this sort of racing up and running again - if you are interested please contact us

You can run your own car, or for most classes you can borrow a club car. Club controllers are available, or you can use your own.

The club started at Slot Racing Supplies, one of the leading slot racing suppliers in the country - so you can buy just about any sort of slot racing equipment.

The BOURNEMOUTH Slot Car was set up by Derek Purkis in late 1993. After considering several tack designs, of 4 and 6 lanes, it was concluded that 6 lanes would limit the layout options too much. So Derek settled on the current 4 lane design by Chris Frost. The track was built in early 1994 by Terry Wood and Chris Frost. The track layout has remain unchanged since then. In we had to leave our original clubroom at the end of September 2005, and the track was moved to our clubroom, and racing restarted on 17 November 2005.
