Artur Martirosian is no stranger to major final tables. The Russian seems to reach them with an almost unnatural regularity. He reached another, the WSOP Side Event: $10,000 High Roller, at GGPoker on September 6 and managed to take it down for a mammoth-sized score.
Some 125 players bought into this event and created a $1,212,500 prize pool that the top 17 finishers shared. Mustapha Kanit was the bubble boy and his elimination paved the way for the likes of Sam Greenwood, Pascal Lefrancois, Jon Van Fleet, Niklas Astedt, Dan Smith, and Alex Foxen to see a return on their investment.
David Peters was the final table’s first casualty; he banked $29,794. Aaron Van Blarcum, MILLIONAIRE MAKER champion Daniel Dvoress, and Thomas Muehloecker then fell by the wayside. Viacheslav Buldygin fell in fifth-place and won $88,985, the final prize not to weigh in at six-figures.
Barry “bh9999” Hutter scooped $116,979 for his fourth-place exit before Adrian Mateos saw his tournament end abruptly in third for a $153,782 haul.
Heads-up pitted Fedor Holz and Artur Martirosian. Holz, who won the WSOP heads-up event earlier, crashed out in second for $202,162, leaving Martirosian to reel in the $265,762 top prize.

Ankush Mandavia won the $1,500 High Rollers title and a cool $117,858 cash prize. His prize would have been even larger but the final three players opted to strike a deal to flatten the payout structure.
That deal meant Dominik Nitsche officially finished in third for a $117,402 haul and Germany’s “SItting Out” walked away with $121,700 and second place.
Shout out to the likes of David Peters (8th - $17,875), and Arsenii “kastaban” Karmatckii (5th - $45,388) who navigated their way to the final table.

There were some big prizes over at partypoker too where David Peters triumphed in the $25,500 WPT Super High Roller. Peters got his hands on $256,514 after a heads-up deal with Team partypoker’s Isaac Haxton. Haxton saw his bankroll swell by $203,485.
Christoph Vogelsang was the only other player in this tournament to see a return on their investment due to the compact field of 23-runners. Vogelsang’s third-place finish saw him reel in $115,000.
Russia’s Vyacheslav Buldygin triumphed in the $10,300 WPT High Roller and walked away with the $133,500 top prize. Buldygin defeated Finnish sensation Pauli Ayras heads-up for the title, resigning the Finn to an $84,000 consolation prize.

The $5,200 WPT High Roller Turbo was won by none other than Michael Addamo who topped a field of 30-entrants to bank $66,750. Team partypoker’s Kristen Bicknell finished fourth for a $15,000 prize before Juan Pardo busted in third and won $26,250. Netherlands’ Corne Scheel was the tournament’s runner-up, he netted $42,000.
Check out these other big results from partypoker from September 6.
Dutch star Rens “Rens02” Feenstra won the $215 Sunday Supersonic at PokerStars on September 6 which resulted in a ridiculous hourly rate. Feenstra came out on top of a 496-strong field to turn $215 into $18,004 in two-hours and 16-minutes thanks to the hyper-turbo blind structure.
The Dutchman defeated “hinsides” heads-up to secure the title and leave the runner-up to collect a $12,966 consolation prize.
There was also a $1,050 edition of the Sunday Supersonic. This event attracted a field of 78 and the top nine finishers shared the $79,237 prize pool. Hungary’s “MynJoe” collected the largest slice of the pie, $21,386 to be exact. They defeated Francisco “Tomatee” Benitez heads-up with Benitez winning $15,987 for his second-place finish.
Some of the other notable PokerStars results included:
“GoodNickname” helped themselves to the largest prize awarded at 888poker this weekend, namely a cool $18,750. This was their reward for outlasting 877-opponents in the $100,000 Sunday Mega Deep.
The tournament overlaid once again as the event continues to be superb value for high stakes grinders. The top three finishers won five-figures as a result. “TOMA188288” won $10,000 for finishing in third with “1ntens1v1st” scooping $13,500 for their runner-up finish.
