The tournament began with seventy three players from around the world. These world players included: Jerry Fong from Canada, Gilbert 'The Frenchman' from France, Jim ray from Peru and Ireland Champion Poker Player Colette Doherty. This day also saw the exit of twenty-three players and the exit of all but one female player.
May20th
Thirty eight players left on the second day including three former WSOP holders. Gabe Kaplan is among the twelve players left in contention for the grand prize.
May21st
Furlong's poker winnings to date exceed $1,100,000! 1991 - Colette Strikes Again! Colette Doherty wins a second time in 1991. She went on to use the £22,000 prize to enter the World Series. 1999 Terry Rogers sadly passes away, Liam Flood keeps the tournament alive.
Twelve players met the following day to face each other in a heated competition for the chance to claim the title of World Champion. This day saw the exit of the last foreigner competitor Jerry Fong who exited the game at 5:10pm.
Gabe Kaplan would be the last player taking sixth place and out of the money.
Gabe was beat by Johnny Moss at 9:05pm.

May 22nd
Five players met for the finial day of the Championship Game . Of the five players to meet, two were former World Champion Poker Players.
The first to leave that day was Charles Dunwoody at 1:40pm.
The next person to leave was Former World Champion player Johnny Moss at 1:45pm.
Johnny Moss was followed out by Jay Heimowitz at 2:19pm.
This would leave Stu Unger to face former two-time World Poker Champion Doyle Brunson in a head to head competition.
At 3:10 pm both players went all in for the $760,000 pot.
